چکیده
We present a framework for modeling asset and portfolio dynamics, incorporating this information into optimization. define drivers dynamics their optimal selection. For framework, we introduce the Commonality Principle, providing solution selection of as common drivers. Portfolio Optimization with Many Assets:
We investigate the properties of mean-variance efficient portfolios when the number of assets is large. We show analytically and empirically that the proportion of assets held short converges to 50% as the number of assets grows, and the investment proportions are extreme, with several assets held in large positions. The cost of the no-shortselling constraint increases dramatically with the num...
متن کاملPrediction-based portfolio optimization model using neural networks
This work presents a new prediction-based portfolio optimization model that can capture short-term investment opportunities. We used neural network predictors to predict stocks’ returns and derived a risk measure, based on the prediction errors, that have the same statistical foundation of the mean-variance model. The efficient diversification effects holds thanks to the selection of predictors...
متن کاملPrediction Based Portfolio Optimization Model Using Neural Networks with an Emphasis on Leading Stocks of NSE
This work discusses most frequently traded stocks of National stock exchange of India. A prediction based portfolio optimization model is considered to present an ideal portfolio out of the considered stocks. Neural network has been used to predict stock returns and a risk measure is derived that has the same foundation as that of mean variance model. The architecture of the network is designed...
متن کاملPortfolio adjusting optimization with added assets and transaction costs based on credibility measures
In response to changeful financial markets and investor’s capital, we discuss a portfolio adjusting problem with additional risk assets and a riskless asset based on credibility theory. We propose two credibilistic mean–variance portfolio adjusting models with general fuzzy returns, which take lending, borrowing, transaction cost, additional risk assets and capital into consideration in portfol...
متن کاملActive Portfolio-Management based on Error Correction Neural Networks
This paper deals with a neural network architecture which establishes a portfolio management system similar to the Black / Litterman approach. This allocation scheme distributes funds across various securities or financial markets while simultaneously complying with specific allocation constraints which meet the requirements of an investor. The portfolio optimization algorithm is modeled by a f...
